BARBER
The 1200 hour / 9 month Barber course is a multifaceted program that gives the student instruction in precision haircutting, color, texture, skincare, shaving and grooming, plus the professional skills to empower the student to build a career.
WHAT THIS PROGRAM IS ALL ABOUT
The student will receive instruction in manicure, pedicure, chemical waving and relaxing, hair shaping, beard trimming, mustache trimming, hair and scalp treatment, hair coloring, shampoo and rinse, hair setting, and hair removal and facial hair shaping and removal. Upon successful completion of the program hours, clinical services, and final exam, the student will receive a diploma and will be registered with the state licensing board.
Individuals who enroll in this program will learn all facets of barbering techniques using the clipper, shears, and chemicals. The course includes the art of shaving the face and neck, cutting and arranging the hair, and training in the use of chemicals, business development, wellness and retail knowledge. This program is intended to train students to enter the workforce as full barbers.
